A

Atom
A XML syndication format specification. Has more features than RSS, but is less commonly used.

Byline
The line in an item preview naming the author.

Den
A small, comfortable room in a house where a person can pursue an activity in private.

Feed
A followed syndication source. Most commonly a website sharing news articles. Other types of sources include status notifications, top lists, and photo streams.

Inbox
An aggregate view showing all the latest items in the current profile.
Item
An entry in a feed. Most commonly, news articles.

JSON Feed
A JSON syndication format specification.

P

Page
An ordered collection, i.e. a folder, containing feeds. Users may configure pages for following specific interests or topics.
Preview
A compact item display containing the title, byline, date, teaser, and thumbnail image.
Profile
The top-level container for pages and user preferences. Users may switch between profiles such as "Home" and "Work" to load different feed libraries.

R

Refresh
The process that updates feeds, fetching and analyzing new items, and periodically updating meta data.
RSS
A XML syndication format specification. The most common format provided by websites.

Teaser
A shortened item description shown in previews.
Trending
A summary view created by grouping items together by subjects found in titles.
